Beloved, there is a question that every Christian should ask—not only when we first come to Christ, but throughout our walk with Him: “What does God truly want from me?” We live in a generation where it is possible to be very busy with religion and yet very far from God in the heart. We can attend church every week. We can pray. We can fast. We can give offerings. We can sing loudly. We can serve in ministry. We can attend conferences, prayer meetings and overnight services.   Introduction Daniel had always believed that he could handle life on his own. He was not a bad man. At least, that was what he told himself. He went to church. He knew how to pray. He knew many Bible verses. He could sing worship songs with his eyes closed and raise his hands during praise. If someone asked him whether he believed in God, he would answer without hesitation. “Yes, I do.” But believing that God existed was not the same as surrendering his life to Him. Daniel was a churchgoer, but he lived much of his life like a man who did not know God. On Sunday, he could sit among believers. On Monday, he could return to the same lifestyle.
